Gatemo was established in Jakarta to address a gap in the regional nutritional supplement market: a men's daily complex formulated around documented ingredient ratios rather than marketing claims.
The studio operates from the Tanjung Karang district. Sourcing decisions are made by a core team with backgrounds in nutritional science and food-grade processing standards.
THE OBSERVATION
BEHIND THE BRAND
"The dietary profiles of physically active men in Southeast Asia show consistent shortfalls in zinc, magnesium, and vitamin D3 — three minerals central to energy metabolism and immune function. The supplement market offered either overcrowded multi-ingredient stacks or single-mineral capsules. A documented, minimal-composition daily complex did not exist in the regional market."
This observation informed the founding brief: a daily complex of four to eight micronutrients, each with a named-region ingredient source and a published nutritional research basis. The Gatemo formulation does not respond to seasonal trends. It operates on a fixed compositional target verified each production lot.
The first production lot was documented in late 2024. Batch coding, lot records, and third-party composition certificates have been archived for every production run since.
FOUR PILLARS
Documented Sourcing
Every active ingredient in the Gatemo stack is drawn from a supplier with documented chain-of-custody records. Sourcing decisions reference both the ingredient's regional origin and the supplier's food-grade processing standards. No ingredient enters the formulation without an accompanying certificate of composition.
Fixed Compositional Target
The Gatemo formulation does not change between production lots. The elemental profile — quantities, ratios, and capsule shell composition — is set at a fixed target and verified against that target at each batch. Reformulation decisions require a documented revision record and a new independent analysis cycle before production resumes.
Independent Batch Verification
Gatemo products are nutritional food-supplements registered with the applicable local regulatory authority under food-supplement classification. Products meet compositional and labelling requirements for nutritional supplement categories. Each production lot is submitted to an independent laboratory for verification of active content concentration before release.
Minimal Composition Brief
The Gatemo stack includes only ingredients with a clear nutritional-research basis for their presence in a men's daily supplement. Additions are not made for marketing differentiation. Removals are not made in response to cost pressure. The formulation exists to serve a documented nutritional gap — not to expand a product line.
COMPANY ARCHIVE
The founding team reviewed published nutritional research on micronutrient shortfalls in the dietary profiles of physically active men in the ASEAN region. A compositional brief was assembled: zinc, magnesium, vitamin D3, B12, B6, and folate identified as priority targets.
Twelve supplier candidates were reviewed against the Gatemo sourcing brief. Eight were shortlisted. Six were qualified following chain-of-custody documentation review. Named-region ingredient sourcing was confirmed for all active compounds.
Compositional target locked at Revision 01. Ingredient ratios, capsule shell specification, and lot-coding format were documented. The formulation brief was submitted for pre-production laboratory analysis. Results archived as Revision 01-A.
Lot 2024-A entered production at the Jakarta facility. Post-production independent verification conducted. Results within compositional target. Lot 2024-A released to distribution. Batch code and certificate of composition archived.
A second production line was added to the Jakarta facility. Two additional ingredient suppliers were qualified, expanding the named-region sourcing pool. Documentation: Revision 02-B, archived April 2025.
Lot 2026-A currently in active distribution. Batch verification completed. Formulation remains at Revision 01 compositional target. No reformulation is planned for the current production year.
